Sorry it’s been awhile since we’ve updated the site. We’ve been super busy so let’s play a little “Collider” catch up now.
We’re excited to announce that we will be featured as “Unsigned Band of the Month” by High Times Magazine this July of 2012.
We’ll be opening for Conspirator(Disco Biscuits side project) again this April of 2012 in our hometown of Rochester, NY at Waterstreet Music Hall.
We just finished recording our 3rd EP entitled “Phoenix” at the Bunker Studios in Brooklyn, NY and our CD release will be in April of 2012 as well.
We’ve also started bi-weekly acoustic sets every other Monday night at Roam Cafe in Rochester, NY. The shows are FREE for 21 + over at this fine dining restaurant. “Dress to Impress” is encouraged.

We will be ushering into the new year with old and new friends by our sides, as we raise our shots of Jameson into the air at midnight and celebrate the accomplishments of everything we’ve all worked so hard for since the beginning of 2011. We are from Rochester. THIS IS HOW WE DO.
RootsCollider in collaboration with Drew Nye & the DubLand UnderGround, are excited to host their first headlining New Year’s Eve show. Special guests will be abundant all night at the only truly devastating musical evening within Rochester, NY’s city limits.
Rage into the the new year with the future fab four (RootsCollider) and their great friends Broccoli Samurai from Cleveland, Ohio. The night would not be complete without RIPROC’s finest DJ’s rounding out and creating the perfect ambiance, backdrop, and future push to elevate the senses to the euphoric states that we’ve come to love over the past two years.

Since September of 2010 these crucial 4 points of the illest of light have touched down on Earth and emerged onto the scene as RootsCollider; the definitive 21st Century “Dry & Heavy Livetronica DubCore” act that continues to push the sonic envelope toward enlightenment. The future fab four is dedicated to bringing the listener only the freshest cuts of live original punishing Drum & Bass, crushing Dubstep, destructive Electro-Rock, and fresh Future-Funk, with the destructive elements of crucial Dub Reggae. The band’s sole purpose is to collide these roots genres into a single unstoppable aesthetic force, and they are known as one of the last definitive almost completely analogue defenses against the digital 21st Century. Broccoli Samurai: 10:30 PM – 11:30 PM
Hailing from Cleveland Ohio, Chris Walker, Steve Fade, and Ryan Hodson of Broccoli Samurai set their path to make a footprint in the electronic jam scene. Psychedelic overtones of progressive electronica with a heavy drum and bass groove envelop the sounds of Broccoli Samurai. Mind-altering, Broccoli Samurai is dub-stepping, trance-grooving, zone out or get off your ass and dance music.
DJ Bittle: 1:00 AM – 2:30 AM
Already quickly establishing himself as the fastest-rising DJ in the Rochester area, his unique selecting style blends the aggressive in forms of dubstep, drumstep, drum and bass, and breakbeat to perfectly pleased crowds on a now weekly basis. Forcing his way onto handbills that each time share bigger and bigger names, it’s been a quick rise that only pure talent can elevate from the relative unknowns of Geneseo. Currently making inroads in the production gambit, dJ.Bittle and his newly launched collaborative effort, Wax Combat, are surely certifiable names to follow in the next evolution of soundwaves.

Skanntron AKA Jason Felton is a DJ\Producer from Rochester NY. Known for breaking the boundaries of electronic music, he plays everything in his sets from jungle to electro-house. Holding local residencies at the Dubland Underground, he has refined a sound that has made him one of RipRoc’s top DJ’s. Opening for headlining acts such as Kill the Noise, Reso, Diplo, Sub Swara and 12th planet, just to name a few, expect a unique and unforgettable experience as long Skanntron is behind the decks.
DJ Papi Chulo: 9:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Forged from the school of hard Drum & Bass knocks during the rise of stateside D&B a decade ago, DJ Grizzly was in the background of the music scene for almost 10 years. Re-dubbed as Papi Chulo, he has emerged this year as the region’s most versatile and thought-provoking genre-clash DJ. Through his total reinvention of the local party game with his co-management of RIPROC, this has served as the catalyst to spread his emerging definition-defying presentation of sound that discriminates no genre, producer, frequency, or BPM from the digital realm. It’s like Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Electro House, Glitch-Hop, Moombahton & Peter Gabriel all rolled into one.
